Admission

Students are expected to be present for the lectures 10 minutes before the lecture commences.

 

All declarations made in the student registration form for admission are accepted in good faith. Any false declarations in the information provided, or failure to produce documentary evidence of the information provided may render a student liable to expulsion from the course to which he/she has been admitted. In such case students will not be entitled for any refund.

 

Student should meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the academy of having cleared the SSC or Equivalent state examination.

 

On behalf of the student, If the student registration form is signed by his/her sponsor/guardian/representative, the above conditions will still applicable

Payments :

Cheque has to be issued in favour of “INDIAN FITNESS ACADEMY”.

 

Course fees are Inclusive of theory Lectures, Practical’s (if any). Course Manual (Where applicable), Two Examination attempts and a certificate from IFA.

 

Course fees are non-refundable.

 

ALL PAYMANTS must be made at the CASH COUNTER.

An instalment option with EMI facility may be offered on selective courses. For Such cases , a service charge would be levied on the EMI/ Instalment amount. It is mandatory for the student to submit Post Dated Cheque (PDCs). These PDCs must be submitted to the academy on or before the course start date. A student is expected to maintain sufficient balance in the account for the PDC to realize on the respective date.

 

Course manual would be handed over to students ONLY on submission of complete payment of the course fee and registration fee.

 

In the event of a payment made by cheque being bounced , a student will be required to pay that amount in cash immediately. A student failing to do so will be restricted by the management from attending the course until the bounced amount is cleared. Further, a nominal charge would be levied on the student for defaulting on the payment.

 

There will be a limit of students in each batch, Therefore if the batch is full, prospective students are advised to pay a non-refundable deposit of Rs 5000/- so that they can be pull to the waiting list for the next available batch. However the balance must be cleared before the commencement of the next batch.

 

If Student has paid course fees in the past for a particular batch and wishes to change the batch to a future date can do so by submitting a application to the administration department.

It is the responsibility of the student for the admission of the course, No REFUNDS / EXCHANGES will be initiated after the admission process. Please note : Course Fee for  enrollment are Non-Refundable & Not Exchangeable.

Course Validity & Practicals

The regular batches of Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) / CPR Certification Course / Exercise Programming for Special Population are valid for 2(two) months. The weekend batch for the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Course / CPR Certification Course / Exercise Programming for Special Population is valid for 9 months.

 

Master Trainer & Lecturer Training course validity is 15 months from the course start date.

 

The validity for all the courses is considered from the course start date.

 

A student enrolling for Personal Trainer course would be subjected to 21 sessions of practical’s. The student is required to choose a practical batch in the same time slot as that of his/her Theory lectures. They cannot choose a batch outside the time of the Theory lecture they have chosen.

 

It is mandatory for the student to complete the course (theory + viva + practical’s) within the course validity period. If a students fails to complete the course within the validity period, then they have the option to complete the same by paying a nominal fee which would grant them additional time to complete the course.

Examination & Certification

Exam must be completed only in the following order – Theory + Practical + Viva.

 

Every student is entitled to 3 attempts to clear their exams within the course validity period. A student unsuccessful in clearing the exam within the validity period can reappear for the pending assessments by paying a nominal fee.

 

It is mandatory for the student to maintain minimum 90% attendance throughout the lectures and practical’s. It is a MUST and makes the student eligible for exams.

 

The minimum passing score of the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) & CPR Certification Course is 60%.

 

A student during the course tenure would be subjected to 2 Unit Tests for the course that they have enrolled for. Attendance for the Unit Tests is mandatory for the students. A student will NOT be allowed to appear for the exam if they have not appeared for any of the Unit Tests.

 

Any student who believes that a piece of work submitted for assessment in the form of Theory, Practical and / or Viva has been assessed unfairly, inconsistently or not in accordance with the training curriculum, can appeal against the assessment marks or final outcome by submitting the completely filled Student Appeal Request Form to the respective Academy Administration Executive.

 

The name of the certificate that would be issued to a student will be as per what is mentioned on the identity proof. It is hence important for the student to mention the same name as per the Photo ID Proof Submitted.

 

CPR certification is compulsory for receiving any IFA Certificate and the fees for the same are not included in the course fees.

 

All certificates are valid for a period of 2 years from the date of certification.

 

In order to re-validate their certification, students will have to re-appear for exam and clear them. A student will get 3 attempts for getting their certification re-validated. The attempts need to be cleared within 3 months of date of payment.

 

Students must collect their certificate within 45 days. But not later than 60 days from their exam date - in person. The student can collect their certificate by submitting their Photo ID Proof at the time of collection.

 

In case of a certificate being lost or stolen, a student can apply for a duplicate certificate. The student would be required to submit a written application stating the reason for application along with a Photo ID Proof. A nominal fee would charged for the same.

 

Cheating during examination (Copying, Carrying Chits, Talking to other students during examination hours etc.) will lead to termination of admission from respective course. Student will not be allowed to sit for the re-examination & no refund will be given to such students.

 

Use of any electronic device such as mobile phones, camera, calculator, recording devices or any similar device during any of the assessment is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. A student, if found guilty, in result the device will be confiscated.

 

Students are allowed to give their examination only if the complete course fees has been paid.

 

Re-Examination :

If a student has used his / her 2 attempts within course validity period and he / she has not cleared all examination then he / she needs to pay a nominal examination fees to appear for the pending examination.

 

In case of failure after 2 attempts or expiry of 6 months period students will have to re-appear for all 3 exams by paying a nominal fee. He must clear the exam within 3 months from the date of payment.

General

Students will be allowed to use the gym floor for practice for 2 months.

 

General information regarding all academy lectures for various courses is available on the academy brochure and is subject to change without a prior notice.

 

The course schedule is displayed on the academy notice board at the reception. In case of any change, the student can refer to the updated course schedule displayed on the notice board.

 

It is MANDATORY for a student to carry and wear their ID Card while attending their lectures, practical’s or assessments. A student may be refused entry to the academy if in case they are found without their ID card.

 

The starting date of upcoming batch is subject to change. No Refunds will be given for delay. If any registered student is unable to attend the postponed batch, he / she may attend any subsequent batch with prior permission of the Academy General Manager according to his / her convenience and subject to seat availability.

 

The tentative lecture, practical, exam schedule will be given to students on the first day of the course and subject to change. The academy reserves the right to schedule extra lectures as per the requirement of each batch.

 

In case of any change in course schedule, exam dates and / or results all students for the respective batch will be informed about the change. It is the responsibility of the student to inform the academy of any change in their contact information. IFA will not be responsible in case a student cannot be contacted due to information not being made available.

 

Any changes in personal information should be brought to the notice of the academy front desk.

 

All students are expected to maintain discipline and punctuality.

 

Students are requested to leave the academy premises immediately at the end of their lectures or practical’s.

 

Use of smart phones, cameras and/or any other electronic device used for video & audio recording of lectures and practical’s is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Students, if found guilty, may result in the electronic device being confiscated. IN such cases a student will not be entitled to any refund.

 

Misappropriate action / foul language / misconduct by any student will result in termination of the course admission of the student without refund.

 

It is responsibility of students to inform the lecturer and the training faculty of any and every health problem before commencing the practical’s.

 

The management will not be responsible for any personal belongings of the students in case of loss or theft. During practical’s students may store their belongings in the space allocated for the same after checking with the front desk. Belongings must not be kept overnight. Lost and found items will be sent to the corporate office from where it may be collected within 7 days or else they will be discarded.

 

The examination structure and the evaluation system is at the sole discretion of the management and is subject to change without prior notice.

 

Ex-Students can make up for any missed lecture or repeat any lecture, at NO EXTRA COST. This provision is complimentary for every student of IFA and is available to them as long as they wish to attend. However, students are required to seek prior permission from the Academy Head of the Department (HOD). The approval is also subject to seat availability. If in case a student wishes to re-attend any practical’s, they would have to pay a fee applicable at that time. A request for the same must be made at the front desk of the academy.

 

The examination structure and the evaluation system is at the sole discretion of the management and is subject to change without prior notice.

Management Disclaimer

The management may from time to time change or modify the rules and regulations governing the operations of the club and academy without prior notice.

 

The management may from time to time introduce, discontinue or change any facility, service, faculty or equipment of the gym and academy without prior notice.

 

The management may from time to time change the rates of the gym and academy without prior notice.

 

The management shall not be considered in default of its obligations in the instance of natural calamities such as floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, storms, heavy rainfall, as well as occurrences such as strikes, lockouts, war or fire etc. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, the management may also be forced to discontinue operations temporarily or permanently. Under such circumstances the academy will not be liable to pay any refund.

 

The management will not be responsible for any Personal injuries or accidents sustained by individuals in and around the club and academy premises Individuals may use all club facilities at their own risk.

 

Parking/ valet parking in and around the academy premises is at the sole responsibility of students.

 

NO arguments and disputes regarding course payments will be entertained in the absence of the receipt.

 

Making copies of the IFA Manual is strictly prohibited. An offence will incur termination of the course without a refund. Since it is also a violation of copyright laws, strict legal action will also be initiated against the student.

 

Breaking of any of the academy rules will result in expulsion without refund or certificate.

 

Any damage caused to equipment or any other property due to misuse or negligence of the students will be their own responsibility. He/ she will be liable to reimburse the club for any damages caused. Failure of the same will result in termination of course or exams.

Informed Consent

General Statement of Program Objectives And Procedures - I understand that this physical fitness program may include exercise to improve the cardiorespiratory system ) heart and lungs) the musculoskeletal system (muscle endurance, strength and flexibility), and to improve body composition (decrease body fat in individuals leading to lose fat, with an increase in weight of muscle weight lifting to improve muscular strength, endurance and flexibility exercises to improve joint range of motion.

Description of Potential Risk - I understand that the reaction of the heart, lung and blood vessel system to such exercise cannot always be predicted with accuracy I know there is a risk of certain abnormal changes occurring or following exercising which may include malities of blood pressure or heart rate. Ineffective functioning of heart, and in rare instances, heart attack. Use of the weightlifting equipment and engaging in strenuous body calisthenics can lead to musculoskeletal strains, pain & injuries if adequate warm up, gradual progression and safety procedures are not followed.

 

Description of Potential Benefits - I understand that a program of regular exercise for the heart and lungs, muscles and joints, has many associated benefits. These may include a decrease in body fat Decreased blood fats & blood pressure, improvement in psychological function, and a decrease in risk of heart disease. I have read the above & understand it. Any questions which may have occurred to me have been answered to my satisfaction. I also understand that before beginning my exercise programme, I should consult with physician. It is expressly agreed that all use of for any damage to the gym facilities, equipment or property, or the property of any member by me or my guest.
